What is EFT Tapping?

EFT is the acronym for Emotional Freedom Techniques. I like to think of it as emotional acupuncture without needles, because we use specific acupressure points, but we don’t use needles to stimulate them.
 
It is an evidence-based, psychophysiological technique using somatic intervention which involves tapping on specific acupressure points on the head, face, body and fingers, while focusing on a problem and the emotions or feelings in the body that arise from this. EFT is also called ‘Tapping’ for this reason.

Studies have shown it can be helpful for many issues, such as reducing or removing stress, fear, phobias, worry, anxiety, food cravings and limiting beliefs.
 
I’m not going to say that you can use it on everything, but you can certainly try.

STUDIES
Its efficacy is confirmed by an impressive and on-going body of gold standard research, in fact there are now over 320 studies published and 99% of them show scientific evidence of the technique. Some of the areas of research have been on PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, food cravings, OCD, the effects on the immune response, sports performance and on focus and attention in students in the classroom. As you can see, this technique can be used for a wide range of problems.

Furthermore, a pilot study has found that an hour of tapping positively influenced gene expression in 72 genes! In general, genes involved in IMMUNITY were UP-REGULATED and genes implicated in INFLAMMATION were DOWN-REGULATED.

What is Metaphysical Tapping?

Metaphysical Tapping is a technique I created which is based on a combination of the original EFT by Gary Craig and meditation. It also goes beyond and embodies visualisation, the energy system, breath work and other modalities, alongside a step by step program to help you plan and reach your goals.

When trying to heal myself from a damaged shoulder at the end of 2019, I threw everything I had in my 'energy healing toolbox' at it, mainly EFT and meditation. Within 6 months I no longer needed the scheduled operation to repair my tendons. This experience was life-changing and inspired me to dig deeper and learn more. As a result of this profound inner work, Metaphysical Tapping was born.
